EdgeGamers' Tribute: Remembering Day of Defeat
As EdgeGamers' 18th birthday approaches we would like to take a moment to remember and recognize those who came first and laid the foundation of the community we enjoy today. Day of Defeat's Avalanche was the first of what would be many beloved eGO servers supported by decent, loyal, fun loving and unforgettable gamers from around the world who desired and valued a punk free and toxic free gaming environment.
They were our first admins and Leaders, our first examples of respect and maturity in gaming. Their daily love and commitment for their server and it's community would forge and perfect what would become EdgeGamers Code of Conduct and create the model for future eGO servers. Their union would provide the evidence that we could have a better online gaming experience. Over 3,350 souls would passed this way and declare Day of Defeat as their home and set a bench mark and create bonds, friendships and memories that survive to this day.
Please join us as we take a moment to enjoy their own tribute and record of existence. These are the images of the pioneers of EdgeGamers and our first generation. We thank them all.
