5v5 Holiday Season Tournament
The 5v5 Holiday Season Tournament will be held Saturday on December 2nd, 2023
12PM PST / 2PM CST / 3PM EST
EdgeGamers is happy to announce that we will have another 5v5 Competitive Counter Strike Tournament again! This time, we will be using CS2. The CS:LE team has seen a huge surge of players returning to competitive Counter Strike. Time to come show everyone your skills and fight for the crown of 1st place.
Sign-Ups
You can sign up with up to 5 people in a group. This means you can sign up by yourself or with another person, etc. You do not have to sign up with a full team of 5, but we encourage it. If you are signing up with a group that is not 5 people, then you will be randomly placed with others who signed up that are not full. However, signing up without a full 5 stack will not guarantee you a spot in the tournament. This is why we highly encourage you to sign up with a full team.

Eligibility Requirements
-Must hold at least a rank for recruit in the community and be active (=(e)= users and above)
-Must be in good standing with the community (No bans within the last 30 days of signing up)
-All players must be MAUL registered and verified. NO EXCEPTIONS.
-You must have a FACEIT account as this is where the tournament will be held

Tournament Information
First come first served, sign up early to guarantee your spot in the tournament.
Will be played on the basic competitive setup (24) with overtime.
Single Elimination aka "Sudden Death"
BO3 Finals
All matches will be played on FACEIT CS2 Servers.
You will need to create a team on FACEIT with your entire team and join the hub with that team. Voice Channels will be created for each team to use.
No subs (the team you signed up with is the team you play with the entire tournament)
You will be able to stream your own matches! Just make sure you have a delay on.
If an uneven number of teams join, a lottery system will be used to determine which team gets a bye for their first round.
Tournament Rules
If for whatever reason the server malfunctions or there is an error, the round will be replayed.
Teams must be in discord for the duration of their match and cannot be in contact with any person(s) not part of their team / a member of EC during their match.
The use of any hacks, cheats, scripts, exploits, model breaking, or any kind of third party software, as listed in the eGO competition rules, to give you an advantage over another player (e.g. AHK) will result in disqualification from the tournament for both members of the team. The offending player will also be banned from all EdgeGamers servers.
Any use of map exploits and or map bugs are not allowed.
Leadership has final say.
Teams must check in 20 minutes before start time.
Map Selection
Active duty maps only will be played (Mirage, Inferno, Overpass, Nuke, Vertigo, Ancient, Anubis)
For each match Team A and Team B will be able to veto maps. For example, the vetos will go as (Team A Bans, Team B Bans, Team A Bans, Team B Bans, Team A Bans, Team B Bans, Play remaining map)
A knife round will decide which team starts off on which side.
